Open-Concept Kitchen Remodel and Dining Room Expansion in Palo Alto, CA
For this Palo Alto kitchen remodeling project, Design by M&M redesigned the kitchen layout, opened up the main living area, and created a more modern, functional space for everyday cooking, dining, and entertaining. The project included a kitchen layout update, a dining room extension, removal of a structural wall to create an open-concept design, fireplace remodeling, new kitchen finishes, updated appliances, and new flooring.
A major part of the project was removing a structural wall to improve the flow between the kitchen, dining, and surrounding living areas. This helped create a more open and connected layout, allowing the kitchen to feel less closed off and better suited for how the homeowners use the home today. The dining room extension added more usable space, while the fireplace remodel helped tie the updated living area into the overall design.
The kitchen itself was updated with modern cabinetry, backsplash, fixtures, appliances, and flooring. Together, these changes gave the home a cleaner, more contemporary feel while improving storage, function, and the overall layout of the main living space.
